Located at 22 Scott St, in the heart of Perth, Ginger Cafe is a culinary gem that seamlessly blends comfort with a vibrant atmosphere. This charming cafe is more than just a spot to grab a quick bite; it’s an experience that lingers long after the last forkful of a delicious panini or the last sip of a perfectly brewed cup of coffee.
As soon as you step inside, you are greeted with friendly smiles from the staff, creating an inviting ambiance that feels like home. The decor, coupled with comfy seating, beckons you to sit back, relax, and enjoy your meal. The overwhelming sentiment from patrons, like Rhona Murray, is that "what's not to love?" about this cafe echoes throughout their reviews. This sentiment captures the essence of Ginger Cafe — a delightful place where excellent food meets warm service.
The menu boasts a variety of expertly crafted dishes. The paninis are a must-try, especially the Chicken and Bacon or the Tuna and Mayo — both generously filled and bursting with flavor. For those with a sweet tooth, the homemade cakes have garnered rave reviews, with visitors like Carolin Fiedler remarking on the "lovely home-baked cakes" that pair perfectly with their coffee. Speaking of coffee, you'll find that the blend used here has been tailored to perfection, pleasing even the most particular coffee aficionados.
But it’s not just lunch that diners adore; breakfasts at Ginger Cafe are truly a highlight. Oliver Overstall declares their bacon and egg roll among the best he’s had. And for a unique twist, Hanno Endres was delighted to discover a vegan version of the traditional English breakfast. The combination of haggis and aubergine, alongside attentive service, showcases Ginger Cafe’s commitment to catering to diverse palates.
Pricing is reasonable, with pancakes starting at £7.20, making it accessible for all. Whether you indulge in the pancakes with bacon or opt for a delightful fruit topping, you can expect generous portions that guarantee satisfaction with every bite.
In a world filled with rushed dining experiences, Ginger Cafe stands out for its calm environment and friendly service. Each visit leaves one eager to return, as Fiona Clark aptly states, "If you haven't visited here, it's a must!" I received a friendly welcome in this cosy café. There is a wide range of food and drinks. It is particularly pleasing that there is a vegan version of the English breakfast (certainly in a Scottish interpretation with haggis and aubergine, but everything was very good). The service was very quick and attentive. I will definitely come here again on my next visit to Perth.

It was the first time I have been to the Ginger cafè. Nice clean and tidy place, comfortable seats, clean toilet, friendly staff. The cakes were amazing (lovely home baked cakes). The coffee blend they are using was absolutely tailored to my taste. It was great. I had a panini (ham and cheese) and never have I ever had a panini so lovely. It was a lot of filling and not greedy with the ham. The cheese which I loved the most was not not Cheddar (can't stand that stuff in a panini). The portion was huge and absolutely delicious. I will definitely go back there and try some of their other foods. The sound and sandwiches looked amazing too. Please give it a shot and let us know what your experience was like.

We loved our brunch at Ginger Cafe! I was served some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had, just deliciously fluffy and I loved how fresh they were. My boyfriend enjoyed his full Scottish too. They were happy to made small changes to my order which I appreciated, and the service was friendly and attentive. The vibe of the cafe is just my sort of thing, very local and cosy. some of the chairs and menus have seen better days, but I’d still go back in a heartbeat (in fact I’m tempted to go again tomorrow).

We’ve wandered by on a whim for lunch and came back few days later for a sweet treat and a drink. Both times the staff has been absolutely lovely, accommodating and welcoming. The food was so nice, the homemade lemon cake will be my craving for a while. It’s a small, cozy place that I will be recommending for sure

My favourite place for breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Always fresh food, great coffee and beautiful cakes. My favourite is the chilli frankfurter, best in town!
